Multi-specialty trauma centre of Institute of Medical Science of Banaras Hindu University will finally be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 28 2015.
BHU arranged the site for the construction of trauma centre near its main campus where foundation stone of the varsity was laid. The civil works were started by CPWD in 2009 but instead of completing the work in the scheduled time by March 2011, it was completed by August 2013. This, one of the biggest trauma centre of the country will be run with the help of 264 senior residents, 99 junior residents and over 400 paramedical staffs.
