The two leaders also visited the Deen Dayal Hastkala Sankul - a trade facilitation centre in Varanasi. Both the leaders also visited the Assi ghat, where they took a boat ride from Assi to Dashashwamedh ghat. The two leaders then had a private meeting over lunch, following which PM Modi headed to the Manduadih railway station and flagged off the Varanasi-Patna intercity train. The French President was for New Delhi after lunch. The prime minister will also address a public meeting before flying back to Delhi from the Varanasi airport.

शूलटंकेश्वर महादेव

शूलटंकेश्वर महादेव मंदिर काशी के पुरातन मंदिरॊ मॆ सॆ एक है। इस मंदिर का उल्लॆख " काशी खंड" मॆ भी मिलता है यह मंदिर कैन्टस्टेशन से लगभग 16 कि॰मी॰ दूरी  दक्षिण वाराणसी ग्राम- माधोपुर  मे स्थित है। शिवलिंग से बने अति भव्य इस मंदिर के  एक तरफ "गंगा नदी" है।गंगा नदी यहाँ  से  वाराणसी नगर मॆ प्रवेश करती  है।, जो अपनी मूल सुन्दरता , पवित्र जल से वाराणसी को शुद्ध करती  है। इस मंदिर मे भगवान शिव  के शिवलिंग रूप मे विरजमान है। इस मंदिर मे बाबा हनुमान ,माता पार्वती, गणेश जी,   माँ सिद्धिदात्री मां दुर्गा,श्री राधे कृष्णा एवं प्रभु श्री राम सीता की मूतिॅ रूप मे अलग से मंदिर है। यहाँ मांगलिक कायॅ एवं मुंडन इत्यादि मे भोले नाथ के दशॅन कॆ लिये आतॆ है। मंदिर के अंदर हवन कुंड है, जहाँ  हवन होते है। कुछ लोग यहाँ तंत्र पूजा भी करते है। सावन महिने मे एक माह एवं  शिवरात्रि का बहुत बड़ा मनमोहक मेला लगता है।
